As you know, the second relic, the Blackbone Effigy, is probably somewhere within Grukluk. Possibly in some sort of temple or fortress? (hint hint) Of course, you’ll need to deal with the goblin infestation to safely search the area.

Objective: Figure out where the Blackbone Effigy is hidden and retrieve it.

Reward: The Blackbone Effigy (duh).

“Now this is the reason we log in, am I right?” Hailey said. The group crouched in the brush near the edge of a trampled area strewn with scraps of hide, broken bits of metal, and bones with bits of gristle still clinging. Around 20 feet away, a fence of sharpened stakes surrounded a goblin camp. A single gate was tied shut with a section of rope. Green-skinned guards with short bows stood on rickety watchtowers within the perimeter, and the tops of huts showed over the fence. Smoke from cooking fires curled into the jungle air, wreathing stone pillars and tumbledown arches of the Grukluk ruins that mixed with the goblin structures.

The fence hid the interior of the camp from their view, but judging by the smell, the goblin war party they’d encountered was just a fraction of the camp’s population.

Devon wrinkled her nose. “Ever wish the sensory input wasn’t quite so realistic?” The war party had smelled bad enough, but the stench of long-term goblin habitation was absolutely foul.

“The sooner we clear the camp, the sooner our noses will recover,” Chen said.

“So what’s the plan? Try to pull them out a few at a time? This will go poorly if we accidentally get the whole camp riled up,” Devon said.

On the closest watchtower platform, a goblin guard scratched a bare butt cheek. He seemed fairly alert and unlikely to ignore a group of five fighters approaching the fence. She used Combat Assessment to get a notion of what they were dealing with.
